An experienced Lead Buyer required to join an established manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire.As Lead Buyer you will develop and pursue purchasing opportunities & negotiate contracts.Duties:
- Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- To positively impact the company's KPI's with particular focus on EBIT
- To establish and support long term supplier relationships to maximise supply chain effectiveness
Key Skills :
- Strong Team player
- Good knowledge of all MS office applications, specifically excel to an advanced level.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Confident and well organised
- Proactive and able to multitask.
- Drive and determination to succeed.
- Strong and confident communication and customer liaison skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills, methodical worker with high level attention to details.
Salary £40kWorking Monday - Thursday 7.00- 16.00 & Fri 7.00-12.
